As an entrepreneur and business development specialist, I am experienced in start-ups and growth, both domestically and internationally. I have worked and resided in the US, UK and Europe and have always enjoyed business and the challenges growth presents – especially in the international marketplace. I have always believed that the most important asset for any business is the people. People create the culture of an organization. I have found developing the people and watching their success blossom as the businesses grew was especially satisfying.
Growing up in the Midwest, I always wanted to see the world to understand the way different cultures lived and worked. Being an analytical person, I gravitated to mathematics and physics but enjoyed history, art and architecture. Travel was a way to blend all of my interests together, and working in the IT industry has afforded me the opportunity to get plenty of it. After a successful sales and management career in the US, I headed to Europe to take on the challenges of international—languages, people, customs, foods, architecture and style.
Running organizations in Europe/Middle East/ Africa(EMEA) gave me a new perspective on business and on life. When I returned to the US, I was more determined than ever to apply my experience to help others develop and grow their own businesses so more people can enjoy the rewards that success affords. Becoming involved in well researched products and finding new markets for growth continues to provide me with the desire to solve problems and help people improve their lives, on both sides of the Atlantic.
Over the years my interest in travel, art and architecture has grown and is now coupled with a growing interest in nutrition, food and healthy cooking. My favorite big city in the world is London, England and my favorite country for lifestyle and just being there, is Italy.
