Like many of our friends and relatives, we have become increasingly aware of the importance of wellness and maintaining good health as we get older. In March 2008 we were asked to attend a conference by a family member who wanted help developing her business. There we were introduced to an exceptional product called Juice Plus+^®.

For years we have all heard of the benefits of a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables, but if you are like us, you find it difficult to obtain enough through the daily diet to meet the recommended 7 to 13 daily servings! This is how Juice Plus+^® was born – from the need to safely and effectively add these extra servings of fruits and vegetables to the daily diet in a non-obtrusive and inexpensive manner.

The company makes no claims that the product prevents or cures any disease, however research bears out it’s positive impact on the markers that affect disease. Moreover, the mounting evidence of medical studies pointing to the benefits of increasing the fruit and vegetable content in the daily diet is compelling. A number of studies have been done specifically on groups taking Juice Plus+^® demonstrating that, because is an effective delivery mechanism for these food groups, it can have dramatically beneficial effects on the immune system.

As impressive as the product is, the company and people are another important aspect of the Juice Plus+ story. The people we met, without fail, all started their Juice Plus+^® careers by simply trying to improve the health of their family and friends – the people they cared about the most. Many continued in this way, while others took another step and built their passion into a business. But the overriding theme was the story they had to tell: each had a personal success story about how the product had helped them or a family member, usually resulting in a major improvement in health. All who were there considered it more than a business, but also a mission to educate as many people as possible on the benefits of a healthy diet and how Juice Plus+^® can play an important role.

Finally, we were impressed by the company itself. The parent company, The Juice Plus Company of Memphis, TN, has achieved over 40 years of continuous growth and success. They are a major contributor to a number of children’s charities, the most important of which is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – one of our favorite charities. They also encourage healthy habits among their employee group and have an exceptionally low employee turnover rate.

If that were not enough, the company have now introduced a new aeroponic-hydroponic growing system that creates the equivalent of an 8′ x 8′ garden in less than 3 sq. ft. of space.  It is great for a patio, a balcony or anyplace where some nice greenery would spruce up the view!   The Tower Garden by Juice Plus+ demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to promoting healthy living around the world.
